When it comes to picking the right frame for you, it’s your face size not shape that is most important. To pick the “right” frame for you it should occupy a certain area of your face. This area is approximately from the center of your eye brow to about 2/3 of the nose length and about the width of your face.
This serves three functions:
First, in the case of tinted lenses, it ensures full coverage of your eyes from the rays you are shielding them from.
Second, in the case of prescription lenses, it gives a full view for your visual field.
Thirdly, it gives you an attractive appearance that glasses that are too small or too large do not.
